In-Person Retreat with Charok Lama Sherpa
in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Let us know you are interested below and we’ll let you know when the retreat is rescheduled.

Left: His Eminence Kushok Mangden Charok Rinpoche. Right: the present Charok Lama

Do you remember the story of the Tibetan lama in the cave who transmitted the practice of the Earth Treasure Vases to Cynthia Jurs in 1990 in response to her burning question: “What can we do to bring healing and protection to the Earth?’’

We are excited to announce that this coming March we have the very special opportunity to meet, study and connect with the 28-year-old Charok Sherpa Lama who was recognized at the age of two as the reincarnation of this highly revered yogi at the root of our Earth Treasure Vase practice and community, Kushok Mangden Rinpoche. It is 35 years ago that Cynthia had the opportunity to meet him at his cave hermitage high up in the Himalayas at Charok, Solu Khumbu in Nepal. Today, it is incredibly symbolic and reflective of the call, three decades later, for the younger generation to step forward now, and for us to host the current Charok Lama to visit us in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It brings it all full circle.

The current Charok Lama has studied from the age of 8 at Sera Je Monastery in Southern India to pursue his Geshe degree in Buddhist Philosophy. He is a respected guide in Tibetan Buddhism, known for his compassionate insight, wisdom and ways to make the Buddhist teachings relevant and applicable for our modern times and challenges.

Please let us know if you are interested in a future retreat!
